Coaching Positions for 2008

Rongotai College is a traditional Boys’ School in Wellington which has a proud history in rugby, at all levels. The College is currently seeking applications from coaches who want to see Rongotai College rugby develop and its students reach their potential.

Successful applicants will have superior communication skills and an in depth knowledge of rugby coaching principles and game tactics.

Rongotai College has three dedicated rugby grounds, wet weather training facilities through our local clubs, an on site rugby administrator and can offer teacher support to key teams. Further training opportunities through the WRFU are strongly encouraged and ongoing
support is on hand from our very active CCO’s.

It is important that the coaches appointed share the values of the school and reinforce the importance of students being committed to reaching the goals of both their team and school.

These voluntary positions provide a great opportunity for talented coaches to use the large player base and talent to further their own coaching career. It is expected that we will have the following teams in 2008 that require coaches:

• 1st XV (Premier 1)
• 2nd XV (Premier 4)
• 3rd XV
• Under 15’s
• Under 80kg
• Under 65kg
• Under 55kg

Weight and age grades are subject to numbers.

Coaches applying for 1st or 2nd XV positions are recommended that they identify an assistant coach / management team in their application.

The Excelsior Rugby Football Club in Oamaru is looking for players to bolster their roster for the 2008 season.  Here at Excelsior we provide a positive and fun environment on and off the field.
 
Oamaru is the hub of the North Otago area.  The North Otago team are reigning Heartland Champions who have a shield challenge later in the year and also an end of season tour to Japan.
 
So, if you would like to become part of a supportive club set up with the chance to going on to higher honours with the North Otago team and the chance of a Ranfurly Shield challenge and tour to Japan, come play for Excelsior and be part of our success in 2008.
