A 'must have' resource for rugby clubs
In 2005, the New Zealand Rugby Union, with the assistance of SPARC and Provincial Rugby Union Club Liaison Officers, developed the Club Best Practice Manual using best practice methods already being implemented by clubs throughout the country. This manual is now available online.
The Club Best Practice Manual has been produced to assist rugby clubs, not only in the day to day running of the club but also with the bigger picture.
Off Field - Big Picture
Provides advice, examples and templates on the big picture items such as governance, sponsorship, financial budgeting, marketing and policies.
Off Field - Day to Day
Looks at the administration side of running a club and provides templates for communication, job descriptions, insurance, health and safety, bar and catering and fundraising.
On Field
Contains extensive guidance, information and templates to assist clubs in areas of the business that take place on the field of play, including useful contacts, job descriptions for the team coach, manager and club captain, player recruitment tips, club season calendar and much more.
